Nugget

Nugget the Chick was convinced he was destined for greatness. Unfortunately, no one knew exactly what kind of greatness. Certainly not Nugget. Yet every morning, he would march out of the coop with tremendous purpose, chest puffed out like a miniature chick version of Napoleon.

One day, he decided he was a detective after discovering a single missing sunflower seed. The case consumed him. He spent six hours interrogating a bewildered worm. The worm was eventually cleared of all charges.

When he got his head stuck in a watering can, he claimed he was "testing new helmet technology." What a legend.

By sunset he would return to the coop dusty, slightly confused and yet enormously pleased with himself.

Success wasn't what defined Nugget.

His optimism did.
