Otis
Otis the Lamb was convinced he had been born for leadership. Unfortunately, no one else had received that memo.
He stood on a wheelbarrow one morning and declared, “From today, I will improve farm efficiency who’s with me?” The chickens ignored him, the ducks applauded by accident, and a worm was seen dozing.
Otis refused to be discouraged. By noon, he had introduced a motivational chant: “Baa with purpose!” Nobody used it except Otis, repeatedly, alone.
By late afternoon, he was politely asked to stop his political career. He took this as a sign of fear. So he founded a committee. He was the committee. Its first decision was to appoint Otis as leader. He accepted immediately and gave a victory speech to mildly annoyed barn mice.
As the sun set, Otis stood proudly in the field, convinced the farm was now running better than ever.
Behind him, absolutely nothing had changed and that, to Otis, was the clearest sign of success yet.
