Leopardo

Leopardo the Leopard cub lives in a sun dappled jungle where every beam of light feels like it’s been sprinkled through the emerald leaves just for him to play in.

A leopard is a master of silent hunting and hiding in the deep shadows, but Leopardo has no interest in such things. Instead, he spends his days merrily chasing fluttering butterflies, convinced they are tiny, floating stars that have come down from the night sky to play a never ending game of "Catch Me If You Can".

Leopardo never actually catches them, not even once, but he never seem to mind. Every chase makes him laugh, every golden flutter makes his heart race with joy and every clumsy tumble through the long grass just feels like part of the grand adventure.

And every evening, as the butterflies drift up into the glowing lilac sky to become real stars again, Leopardo lies in the warm, jasmine scented grass thinking the same happy thought: “Maybe tomorrow… I’ll be just a little bit faster.”

Leopardo teaches us that it’s okay to chase big, beautiful dreams even if we never quite reach them, because the chase itself makes our hearts stronger and our worlds brighter. Most of all, Leopardo shows us that being an optimist isn't about ignoring the "misses", it's about being excited for the very next "maybe."
