Snappy

Snappy lives in a slow, winding river where the water is always too warm for serious thoughts. To the world, he looks like a living dinosaur with green scales and sharp teeth, but Snappy knows a secret: a wide crocodile smile is just a "private sun puddle" for catching the light.

Endlessly polite and delightfully dramatic, he treats a falling leaf like a royal visit and whispers "good morning" to the dragonflies.

The other animals may at times, find Snappy a bit strange, but in the best way possible. Snappy doesn’t act like a crocodile trying to be scary; he acts like a crocodile trying very hard to be kind and gentle... while occasionally forgetting that his tail is an enormous, wagging engine of joy that knocks over the occasional stork when he turns too fast.

Snappy reminds us that we should never be defined by how "scary" or "big" we appear to others, but by the softness and kindness we carry in our hearts. He also teaches us that it’s okay to be a little nervous about making friends after all, wagging your tail can occasionally knock over a stork.
