Slinky

Slinky the Snake lives in the soft, secret spaces beneath an old crooked willow tree, where the grass smells of summer rain and sun warmed rocks offer a safe refuge.

A gentle introvert in a loud world, he weaves unseen through dark shadows and tall grass toward sun dappled safety at the first flutter of wings. By sunset, Slinky always returns to his willow tree, his home, his sanctuary.

It takes tremendous energy for a shy, timid heart to be so brave in such a busy noisy world.

Slinky reminds us that after great effort, there is a need to return to stillness, to rest and to listen again to the quiet rhythms that live within.
