Sutton made his home deep within the heart of a thistle bush. Here, he moves with careful grace, hidden from the bustle of the garden, yet perfectly in tune with its rhythms. Every rustle of leaves, every soft hum of bees, every glimmer of morning dew is noticed and admired.

A fluffy, gentle soul with big, soulful eyes and a pair of tiny, shy fangs, Sutton spends his days spinning silver webs and is easily recognized by his many "sneaker boots," which he wears to make sure his eight legged journey is as quiet as a falling petal.

However, within his fluffy chest beats a heart that often feels a "whispered sorrow." It saddens Sutton's heart that so many are unnecessarily scared of his shadow, his fangs and his many legs. He feels the weight of the world's fear, a cold wind that blows whenever someone turns away from his gentle presence. To Sutton, being a spider isn't about being scary; it's about being a quiet gentle weaver of nature’s intricate webs.

Sutton teaches us that life is about mindful attention, gentle action, empathy and finding your true purpose in the quiet work of connecting with the world, even when others misunderstand or fear you.
