A Very Long and Funny Story

Jerry the Karaoke Bee was born in a buzzing little hive at the edge of the sunflower fields just beyond the valley. From the moment he popped out of his honeycomb, everyone could tell there was something different about him. Most young bees spend their days learning pollen routes, practicing neat little flying patterns and organizing flower schedules. Not Jerry. He spent his days turning spoons into microphones. While the other bees woke up early for pollen duty, Jerry slept in under flower petals humming dramatic ballads to himself. He loved shiny things, catchy songs, nectar spritzers, colorful scarves, and absolutely anything that felt exciting and if there was music nearby, Jerry somehow appeared within seconds like he had been magically summoned.

And honestly? Jerry believed working too hard just ruined the mood. The older bees did not appreciate this philosophy. Especially since Jerry was actually a very talented pollen collector when he bothered trying.

He had an incredible singing voice, smooth, loud and full of ridiculous confidence. During the village karaoke nights at the castle tavern, Creepy Crawlies packed the room just to watch him perform. Jerry never simply sang a song. He became the song. Fog machines? He wanted them. Backup dancers? Absolutely. Sparkling capes? Mandatory. By the final chorus, Jerry usually had the entire tavern singing with him while he pointed dramatically at random audience members like a superstar.

The problem was, Jerry brought the exact same dramatic energy to responsibilities. If someone asked him to collect pollen, he suddenly became “emotionally exhausted.” If the hive scheduled cleaning duty, Jerry mysteriously “needed vocal rest.” And if work started looking especially difficult, Jerry somehow vanished entirely until lunchtime.

Deep down, Jerry did feel guilty sometimes. He knew the hive worked hard. He knew everyone carried their weight. But whenever he tried to force himself into the serious hardworking bee life, he felt trapped, like his wings lost their sparkle.

What Jerry truly loved was making “Creepy Crawlies” happy. He loved laughter echoing through taverns. He loved dancing badly with strangers. He loved turning dull evenings into unforgettable nights. Most of all, Jerry loved making shy insects sing. Because somehow, beneath all the glitter and drama, Jerry had a strange little gift: he could make nervous creatures feel brave enough to be loud. That was how he became friends with Fizzle. Where Fizzle lit up the sky, Jerry lit up the room. Together, they were absolute chaos. Castle guards dreaded karaoke night.

Jerry teaches us that while we need "pollen"  to survive, we need laughter and music to actually live and that no matter how shy or nervous someone might be, everyone has a "song" inside them that deserves to be heard.
